The active programme of network expansion through office openings and expansion of existing facilities that was described in the first edition of the newsletter is continuing in both established and emerging freight markets.
NEW IN PUNE
In India, general agent CSS India has commenced operations from a new office in Pune; the CSS Group’s 11th office in India.
Pune is one of the premier industrial centres of India and home to automotive giants, as well as a large number of engineering, electronic and electrical industries.
The industrial township of Pimpri Chinchwad, adjacent to the main city, has over 4,000 manufacturing units and the city’s industrial base includes corporate giants such as Atlas Copco, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Allianz, Bajaj Tempo, Kinetic Engineering, Mercedes Benz India, SKF Bearings, Sandvik Asia, Tetrapak India.
With its own presence in the city, CSS India is confident in being able to meet the freight and logistics needs of FPS Group members around the globe, which have clients doing business with this part of India.
OPEN FOR BUSINESS IN KATHMANDU
Meanwhile in Nepal, CSL India another of the FPS Group’s general agents has opened an office in Kathmandu which will cater for all import and export needs of companies doing business with the country which need efficient freight forwarding and logistics operations.
In China, FPS has established a new office in Shunde. The city, in the middle of Pearl River Delta and surrounded by Guangzhou, Foshan, Nanhai, Panyu, Xinhui and Zhongshan, is famous as a furniture distribution and trading centre, as well as a production centre for household appliances. Furthermore, Shunde is also well known for hardware, woodworking machinery and textiles.
