Forwarding network, the Famous Pacific Shipping (FPS) Group, has appointed Blue Calm Marine Services as its general agent in Iran.

Tehran-based Blue Calm Marine Services is a privately-owned Iranian shipping agency and forwarding company with long experience and its own offices in the main Iranian ports and oil terminals.

"We welcome Blue Calm Marine Services to the FPS global network,” says Iskandar Zulkarnain, Chairman of the FPS Group’s Executive Committee.

“I am sure this will be a profitable and successful relationship between our organisations. Iran is a fascinating country, lying as it does on some of the most important trading routes in the Near East. With the new general agent’s knowledge of the local market, the members of the Famous Pacific Shipping group gain a strong foothold for future business in Iran through this appointment.

“In fact, Blue Calm Marine has recently worked with FPS Shanghai to move 60 teu of Chromite from Bandar Abbas to Shanghai.”
